CV: Jean-Michel Jaquet was born in Geneva and is now head of the Remote Sensing Unit at the university of Geneva. He is seconded on a part-time basis to GRID-Europe where he works on projects connected with aquatic remote sensing, GIS for water quality assessment and geological hazards. He trained in Canada as a geochemist and took part in several research projects on envrionmental pollution of lakes and oceans. He has also previously worked for several years in Australia as an exploration geologist. Jean-Michel has a PhD in mathematical geology. |  |
