Duration: January 2009 - December 2009
The UN and Partners Post Conflict Environmental Assessment of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC PCEA) is a new project managed and funded by the United Nations Environment Programme. The project will develop and deliver a comprehensive national scale environmental assessment of DRC and associated outputs over the period Jan 2009 – December 2010.
This assessment will be set in the context of the ongoing recovery of the DRC from the conflicts of the 1990s onwards and the ongoing instability in the east of the country. The assessment will combine extensive fieldwork, desk studies, mapping and remote sensing and will be delivered in French and English as a principal report, technical reports, film, photography, a website and supporting databases.
