Tracks of tropical cyclones are generally available through internet provided by different centres. Information on latitude/longitude, date, hours, windspeed and central pressure are usually included. However, each centre has its own way and units for measuring cyclones characteristics. The aim of the PreView Global Cyclones Tracks is to provide users with a standardised version, with all units converted into meter system and data presented in the same order and format. This dataset also centralise information of 6 centres into a single global dataset. http://www.grid.unep.ch

The aim of the PreView Global Cyclones Tracks is to provide users with a standardised version, with all units converted into meter system and data presented in the same order and format. This dataset also centralise information of 6 centres into a single global dataset.

- a compilation of vector datasets containing 1615 tracks of cyclones from 1.1.1980 to 31.12.2000
